Our Children

There are usually twenty-four to twenty-nine children in the class ranging in age from three to six years old. Children enter at age three and remain for a three-year period until age six, at which time they enter Montessori elementary school or a traditional first grade.  This multi-age dynamic creates a family-like atmosphere.  Younger children learn from observing the older children.  The older children develop compassion, confidence, and leadership skills as they relate to the younger children.  The children are of various ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds.
